How to Apply Henna to Your Hair

If you want a truly unique look for your hair, try henna. This natural hair coloring is guaranteed to create a unique look because it looks different on everyone. Here are some tips for applying henna to your hair.

1. Henna hair coloring products are available at most places where other hair coloring products are sold. Choose the type that best meets how you want your hair to look.

2. Allow yourself plenty of time. Applying henna is a messy, time consuming process.

3. Put on plastic or latex gloves. Wear protective clothing, such as an apron.

4. Mix the henna according to package directions.

6. Quickly wipe the henna off the forehead, ears, face and any other area where it is not desired.

7. Pile the hair on top of the head and cover it with plastic wrap or a large plastic bag. Secure the plastic with a clip if needed.
