Bad Blonde Joke…..
A Connecticut woman going by the name of Charlotte Feeney tried to sue L’Oreal with her main claim being the blonde hair dye she “thought” she bought was in fact brown, thereby causing her “beautiful” blonde locks to be dyed brunette. Miss Feeney was apparently left so “traumatized” by the event that she needed anti-depressants to sort herself out. She also claimed that she was so distraught that she consequently suffered severe headaches and anxiety as well. But that’s not all……
She told the judge that she desperately missed “the fun and attention that all blondes receive” and that she refused to go outside ; but when she did pluck up enough courage to do so, she would cover her hair with a hat so as to to hide herself from public view.
Fortunately sanity prevailed and a Superior Court judge agreed with L’Oreal - who had obviously refuted the claim - and threw out the lawsuit dating from 2005 on Monday. The reason cited was that the woman in question did not have enough evidence that L’Oreal had in fact made the mistake with the hair dye.
Stories like this are annoying to the point of distraction. With all the woes and worries in the world today, people still try to make a quick buck from the most ridiculous things. For once a judge saw sense and refrained from the normal practise of always siding with the little person - whether they are right or wrong.
